Concrete Video Essay is a supercut using scenes from over 30 films, television series, and commercials, as well as found and original text. The linear audiovisual essay is a satirical posthumanist musing and an embodiment of current research, attempting to unearth communal knowledge from depictions of concrete and cement, and related labor and machinery found throughout contemporary popular culture, politics, and philosophy.
Versions of Concrete Video Essay have shown in recent group exhibitions:
I Wish We Had More Time by the Institute of Queer Ecology at KunstHausWien – Museum Hundertwasser, as part of the Vienna Climate Biennale; and Of Sibyls and Source: Ranges and Ruptures at the Crewe Center for the Arts, University of Southern Maine.
